Supernatural Power

[box] John 6:20 “Don’t be afraid, I AM here!” ~ Jesus[/box]

When we hear the word supernatural we naturally feel spoooooky (in my trembled voice). Our carnal minds can’t begin to understand. It doesn’t seem logical to comprehend what can’t be explained with science or facts. When it comes to the supernatural there isn’t a formula to follow or is there? I invite you to walk with me as I attempt to explain the meaning, starting with the definition.

Supernatural:

  1. An order of existence beyond the visible observance
  2. Departing form what is usual or normal
  3. Appearing to transcend the laws of nature
  4. Attributed to an invisible agent

All four definitions connect to one meaning: an unusual power. After reviewing the definitions, I am reminded of a childhood friend.

The Introduction: As a child, I was peculiar, full of love, joy, and happiness. The innocence of my character seems fake to a superficial world. I was often criticized for smiling too much and being too happy. Little did I know, my supernatural power was love, laughter, and joy. Sounds like some of the fruits of the spirit, if you asked me. This childhood friend knew me, before I knew him. He was waiting on the right opportunity to introduce himself. At a youth camp, in Tioga, Louisiana an invitation was extended for friendship and I accepted. While developing a relationship with this friend, he introduced me to more supernatural power. Years passed before I discovered my core character in my adult life, came from a friend I met in my childhood.

[box] Pop Quiz: Question: What is my friend’s real name? Answer: Thank you for asking @McCoySolutions_ another great question. He goes by many names. I know him as Jesus Christ. I now introduce you to meet my friend, The Holy Spirit.[/box]

Brief pause, for The Invitation

I extended my hand to invite you to a relationship with my friend, Jesus Christ. This is a serious moment. Accepting a relationship with J.C. is nothing spooky. It’s simple as A,B,C.

Admit you have sinned.

Believe Jesus Christ is Savior.

Confess Jesus as the Lord of your Life.

I pray you accepted the invitation to discipleship. If you did, you are now a follower of Jesus Christ. If not, I have done as required and yet there is still room at the cross. The Holy Spirit operates in a power beyond what is visible to the natural eye, yet seen by the spiritual eyes.

[It was there by faith, I received my sight, and now I am happy all the days.]

To transition from the Natural mind (which is carnal) to the supernatural mind (which is spiritual), requires faith. That my friend is the formula to supernatural power.

Supernatural (+) Faith (-) Carnal mind = Spiritual

There is a formula to the supernatural, when referring to the Holy Spirit. It is being able to recognize characteristics of Christ. Characteristics are distinguishing traits. In this case represented as gifts.

1 Corinthians 12: 8-10~ The gifts of the Holy Spirit:

  1. Knowledge
  2. Wisdom
  3. Faith
  4. Healing
  5. Miraculous Powers
  6. Prophecy
  7. Discernment
  8. Speaking in tongues
  9. Interpretation of Tongues

Trust the Journey

Trust is a supernatural transition that takes place between heaven and earth (spirit realm to natural). The part in the middle is the transaction. You have to take action to transition.

Trust is the transition needed for business to take place. Business clients and business owners create an exchange. They exchange their service to meet the clients needs, that requires trust. It is very common to ask for a reference, before we conduct transactions. Trust God’s references. God too has many references in the 66 books of the bible.

[box] “We have not, because we ask not.” ~ James 4:2-3 [/box]

In case you need a Reference for God:

  1. Ask Paul who shared the gospel of Jesus. He went through hardships and suffering, but he trusted God and stayed faithful. He is an example of praising god in the midst of your situation.
  2. Ask Peter who walked on water. No one had ever walked on water before. God might call you to do something that has never been done. If you don’t have a beta sample to use, it’s because he called you to create it. You are the creator made in the image of our Father.
  3. Ask David who defeated Goliath. David defeated Goliath with a stone and his slingshot. By trusting God what seemed impossible became possible.

Conclusion:

Once we ask, we have to trust God’s promises (found in His Word). You have to transition in the earth by trusting God’s kingdom (king’s domain) to come to earth (our dominion). God is waiting on you to ask what he has already prepared for you. How big will you ask? Ask for big proposals. God has the power to do above all what we can ask or think. Ask so big you don’t have the blueprints for it. Ask beyond your imagination.

First, Invite God’s supernatural power to come into your imagination.

Second, create the blueprints for the vision he gives you.

Third, follow up with execution.

Finally, expect God’s supernatural power when you tap into the source of who he is!
