Jesus Calling

[box] Romans 10:14 How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? [/box]

Jesus Calling is never a mistake. It is always intentional. For a purpose and a specific reason. Since Jesus doesn’t make mistakes, how come we feel unsure at times when he calls? Uncertainty leads to confusion. Confusion leads to doubt. Doubt leads to fear. We ask questions like… How do I know if Jesus is calling me? Well, have you ever stopped to ask him?  Jesus, “Are you calling me?” If so, Did his response lead to confirmation that he truly is calling you? Our busy world tends to clutter our hearing. You have to quit the noise, to answer his call. Learn how to recognize Jesus Calling by continuing to read.

Called. Equipped. Sent. Ready or Not, He Went….

[box] Ministry Moment: Jonah was called by God to go to Nineveh. For selfish reasons he didn’t want to attend. Attempting to escape from God, he began running. Everywhere he went God was there. After spending 3 days in the belly of a big fish, Jonah returns to dry land. Then he completed the assignment God called him to do. Moral of the story: When Jesus Calls it’s best you obey! [/box]

Good News: Jesus is God! He is in control. He Prepares. Invites. Sends. & Calls us.

At the right time, Jesus Calls us to our assignment. Your assignment is your ministry. You have heard me ask before, now I ask again, “What is your ministry?” Our ministry is connected to our calling. It often starts in our profession. From the marketplace, to business sector, to the doctors office, the number of ministers are too great to count. If he brought you to it, you are usually the minister to answer the call.  In the words of Pastor Micheal Todd, “Who is the minister here?” My response, I am or you?  Be not afraid, when he calls. Fear can block your vision and paralyze you from moving forward.

1 Corinthians 2:9

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man

the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

God is mysterious. He doesn’t always reveal each piece of the puzzle, but he will order our footsteps and hold us responsible.

Called. Equipped. Sent. Ready or Not, I Went….

He equips those he calls with an ear to hear and a mouth to speak his words.

On a Walt Disney World marketing internship, age 19, I was unexpectedly called to motherhood. Thoughts of shame before God, disappointed parents, ruined dreams, financial destitution, and social disgrace took over. Life forced me to make a decision. Like Jonah, I too was afraid. Considering making a fear based decision, I remember receiving a phone call to prayer. That same night I prayed privately again. I heard a soft, still voice say….. Put your hand in my hand! Immediately, I knew this was God. My 1st response ignored the call to parenting. God divinely intervened in my dream and from prayer. Although I was outside of God’s perfect will by having a child outside of marriage, God still worked it together for my good. All things work together for the good, to them that are called according to his purpose  (Romans 8:28).

I knew I was equipped to become a mother, but I did not want to answer the call.

Responsibility.

What is Jesus Calling you to? How can you go, unless you have been sent?  Even if time passes, when Jesus Calls you still have a responsibility to answer! Faithful over little, to become ruler over much. My motto is “If you can see the calling, it means he has opened your eyes to do something about it.” Stop wondering and start executing what Jesus Called you to do! Turn wondering into action through prayer. Don’t ignore Jesus when he calls and put him on hold. Instead, Answer by faith and walk into your purpose!

Conclusion.

Be assured God knows your name. I’m having a Tasha Cobbs Leonard moment…. He knows my name! Guess what? He knows your name too! Don’t answer to something that doesn’t represent who you are. Your name is your identity. Once you discover your identity in Christ, this will lead to your authentic self.  Now when Jesus calls, @McCoySolutions_ intention is to answer. Jesus fulfilled his calling. Now, what will you do when Jesus Calls your name?
